If you like wine, or like me know nothing about wine - Vagabond Wines is a great place to go. You can try out an array of wines (or beer if you prefer) by using a pay as you go system. There is no entry fee, and you can go with as many people as you like. All you do is, get a card from the till and top up the card with as much money as you like. Then you can use the self-service machines and pay for as much wine as you'd like. It's very affordable and you get back any money you didn't spend on your card. Awesome.
My advice is to get rid of any image you have of a snooty, posh wine tasting event. It's nothing like that at all. Think casual and relaxed. This is a guaranteed fun evening out.
You can also order a platter of cheese and bread too if you're feeling peckish and need to cleanse your pallet.
